Maple-Pomegranate Glazed Ham

Add flavor and offset the saltiness of ham with this sweet glaze that's made by boiling down pomegranate juice and cornstarch, then stirring in maple syrup and coarse-grain mustard.

3 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. maple or pancake syrup
fully cooked spiral-sliced bone-in half-ham (we used Smithfield Marketplace)
- Heat oven to 325ºF. You'll need a roasting pan lined with nonstick foil.
- Whisk pomegranate juice and cornstarch in a medium saucepan until blended. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute until slightly thickened and clear. Remove from heat; stir in syrup and mustard.
- Place ham in roasting pan. Brush on some of the glaze. Cover loosely with nonstick foil and bake according to package directions, brushing on more glaze 2 or 3 times during baking time.
- Serve ham with remaining glaze to drizzle over slices.
